Multicultural Romance Blog-A-Thon Presents~ Shaniel Watson

 Book Blurb
Who knew falling in love with my best friend had the potential to single-handedly destroy my entire family?
For as long as I could remember I’ve been in love with sexy, lawyer extraordinaire Nicholas Alexander. We always had a certain chemistry growing up. Especially after we shared one passionate, forbidden, perfect kiss as teenagers. For years I hoped he could look past my overprotective brothers and our age difference, so we could be more than friends, I was wrong. Four years ago I left New York and my heart behind. Now I’m back to stake a claim on the only man I’ve ever loved. But unbeknownst to me, things are way more complicated than I could imagine when I learn he’s engaged, to my sister.
Will the love and desire I feel for the one man I’ve ever truly wanted to destroy me? Am I willing to risk it all, for a chance at everlasting love?
Catherine Reed is the one woman I couldn’t have but the one I always wanted. She was my best friend’s baby sister, which means she was definitely off limits to me and anyone else if I had my way. Not even having a merry-go-round of beautiful girls could stop me from wanting her. Watching her leave was hard, but I knew giving in to what I wanted back then would ruin her…us. All I’ve ever wanted was for her to be happy and to see her beautiful smile.
I haven’t gotten to where I am by always doing what’s right. She’s Back. I want Her. I have every intention of making her Mine.

Novel Lines~ A Will for Love

Below are some of my favorite lines from my upcoming novella A Will for Love:

  • ..her eyes met the sky blue eyes that made her nights an emotional hell.
  • .. he had to tell Layna he was about to marry the woman he’s been engaged to his birth.
  • Eyes that once gazed at her with love, idolized her body with desire were now cold and foreign.
  • Mikael wondered how in the hell he would convince Layna to give him another chance.
  • …..Because the man, who had already devastated her life once, had the power to do it again.
  • “I am not excited to see him.”..Her voice sounded weak to her own ears.
  • “Did you not take my virginity, allow me to fall in love with you, connect to you, while being engaged to another woman?

I tried to capture sexy, emotional, funny and intense moments of Layna and Mikael’s story w/ these lines. Let me know what you think 🙂

Until next time….

Multicultural Monday Presents Adriana Kraft

It’s Multicultural Monday and today’s featured romance author is husband and wife team Adriana Kraft!

 The Reunion: A Multicultural Threesome

What does “multicultural” mean to you? Sometimes the cultural clash is obvious: light colored skin contrasts with brown or copper skin, native languages may differ, cultural roots may be continents apart. Other kinds of differences may be more subtle and less visible to the naked eye.

In The Reunion, winner of the 2014 Bisexual Book Award for Erotic Romance, both types of cultural difference are at play. Sarah and Adam may share hometown roots and a common high school, but they are worlds apart culturally: Sarah’s from a respected small town business owner’s family, while Adam’s single mom struggled in blue collar jobs to manage for herself and her son. Those status differences kept them worlds apart on their shared turf.

Enter Maria, a Puerto Rican from New York whose past jobs include exotic dancing and adult film roles. Her copper skin and Hispanic heritage easily mark her as culturally different from both Sarah and Adam, but it’s not all that simple. She and Adam share a high regard for the adult film industry and the actors who work in it—they have become part of a subculture that Sarah looks upon with disdain. As my husband and I were crafting this story and sorting out the intricacies of the emerging three way relationship, it dawned on us that the character with the most difficult cultural journey across the story arc is neither Adam nor Maria, but Sarah, who must give up long-held bias and prejudice in order to claim her happy ending.

Dark and brooding, Adam Granger was always the bad boy out of reach—but now he’s in Sarah Atkinson’s bed, the morning after their twentieth high school reunion. When Adam beats a retreat to his Pacific Palisades estate, former good girl Sarah throws caution to the wind and pursues him.

Petite copper-skinned Maria Ramirez greets Sarah at Adam’s front door. The former exotic dancer doesn’t challenge Sarah’s assumption she’s the maid—how long will it take the dark-haired beauty to figure out Maria is Adam’s live-in lover? Better yet, how long before Maria can entice her into their bed?

Determined not to rock his hard-won lifestyle, Adam resolves to push Sarah past her sexual limits so she’ll leave. When she stays, he watches helplessly as the two women fall in love with each other. Will they shut him out? And, if they let him in, what must he sacrifice?

REVIEWS Winner of the 2014 Bisexual Book Award for Erotic Fiction, The Reunion was a top pick at both Night Owl Reviews and The Romance Reviews, and is averaging Four Stars at Amazon.

“Well written Erotica that has strong characters and an interesting storyline is rare but Adriana Kraft delivers with The Reunion… Passionate and sensual love scenes actually serve to move the story along… Well Done!” Janet K., Amazon

“This book sizzled as two incredibly sexy women and one gorgeous guy form a super hot triad, eventually. These three are by far and away the best smoldering trio I have read about. Oh, bring on more of this, but read this one first!”  JJ, Rainbow Reviews

“I think you’ll be good at whatever you set out to do. You’ve crammed a lot into your life. In some ways, I’m jealous.” Grimacing, Sarah added, “I’ve done the same old same old for so long I nearly failed take the opportunity to fly out here.”

Maria flashed an eyebrow. “But you did, and you’re not disappointed.”

“Not at all.” Sarah squirmed closer. “You were worth the trip. And we may get Adam to come around. Imagine! I didn’t even know you existed until you met me at the door. If I hadn’t gotten up the nerve to come out here, we never would’ve met.”

“I like that word we.” Maria pecked at Sarah’s neck and hugged her tight. “You’re a pretty damn spunky lady. Adam Granger doesn’t stand a chance facing the two of us.”

“I’m not so sure,” Sarah said, fighting the feeling that all was not well in nirvana. “So, Maria, does Adam love you?”

Maria withdrew and scowled. “That’s not a word in his vocabulary. He cares for me more than he has for anyone, unless for the image of you.”

“Do you love him?”

Maria didn’t flinch. “Yes.”

“Yet you still take other women to your bed.”

“Yes. Loving a woman is quite different. I haven’t found a woman I could be true to.” She offered a quirky smile. “Yet.”

“Oh.” Sarah worked at staying calm while considering the import of Maria’s words. “But you wouldn’t give up Adam for the right woman.”

“No, the right woman would have to love him as much as me. All sides would have to have equal strength.”

“Like an equilateral triangle.”

“I wonder if that’s possible.”

Maria sighed. “Maybe it isn’t.”

Daddy’s Game by Normandie Alleman

Sparks fly when up-and-coming artist Carmen Harris meets football star Natron Dakers at her first gallery opening. Carmen soon discovers that Natron is the type of man who sees what he wants and goes after it… and apparently what he wants is her. Almost before she knows it Carmen finds herself taking everything Natron gives her and begging for more, and when he reveals that he wants to be her dominant daddy and her to be his submissive little girl, she doesn’t hesitate to agree.

At the top of his profession, Natron has money, fame, and all the perks that go with them, and now at last in Carmen he has found a woman he wants to share it with. His life feels complete… until in a split second everything comes crashing down when a devastating injury threatens to end his season—and maybe his career. Natron fears he will lose it all, but will he self-destruct or can he dig deep and fight hard for himself, his teammates, and his little girl?

She sensed his presence behind her before she felt his hands on her waist.

“I’ve been trying to be good, but you’re so sexy. I can’t resist you, babygirl.”

A wave of desire thrilled through her as his hands skimmed over her belly and he started unbuttoning her jean shorts. Her knees almost buckled and she held onto his forearms for support.

“But…” was the only protest she could muster.

“But I think you have on too many clothes,” he said slipping her shorts down to her ankles.

Feeling dizzy she turned to steady herself and found herself in his arms. When she lifted her face to his, he claimed her mouth, hungrily sliding his tongue between her lips. The electricity between them ramped up a notch, and for a moment she allowed herself the pleasure of letting go and relishing what it felt like to be in his arms.

He stepped back and lifted her t-shirt over her head.

It made her uncomfortable to be half-naked in front of him and she instinctively covered her breasts with her hands.  Carmen believed most men preferred a thinner woman, and she was self-conscious about her voluptuous figure. She weighed at least thirty pounds more than the models on the magazine covers she saw every week at the grocery store check-out line.

“What are you doing? Stop. I want to see you.” He pulled her hands away, firmly placing them at her sides.

She felt the warmth rising in her cheeks. “I’m embarrassed.”

He smiled and shook his head. “Girl, you don’t know how good you look, do you?”

“Well, I…I just need to lose a few pounds,” she stammered.

“Lose a few pounds my ass! You’re beautiful. I love your curves. I don’t need an anorexic woman. I want a girl who knows how to live, how to eat,” he said, wrapping his arms around her again. “How to love.”

He scooped her up like a bride about to cross the threshold and started climbing the stairs.

Panic rose in her throat. “Natron, you can’t. Please! You’ll drop me.”

He merely chuckled. “You don’t know how strong I am. I’m not gonna drop you.”

“But Natron, what are you doing?”

“What do you think I’m doing? Takin’ you to bed.”

“But, but…it’s so fast.” The alarm bells that had been going off in her head waned. His persuasive charms were quickly overriding her concerns, and she longed to give in to him.

“When I see what I want I have to have it. And right now what I want is you.” He nuzzled her neck, nibbling his way around her earlobe.

The words “right now” stuck in her head. Okay, so he wanted her now, but what about afterwards? Would he want her later or would she be just another conquest for the big football star?

When he reached the top of the stairs he tossed her on the bed and proceeded to take off the rest of his clothes. As he stood there in all his naked glory, Carmen drew a ragged breath. He was gorgeous.

Good Lord he must have to work out constantly to look like that and still eat pizza. His body was rock hard, every muscle well-defined. He even had that sexy Apollo’s belt that made that deep “v” leading directly to his enormous cock. As impressive as the rest of him was, it was impossible for her not to stare at his erection jutting out proudly before him. She’d heard black men were bigger, and in his case the rumor proved to be true.

“Now it’s your turn,” he tugged at her panties.

“Natron, I don’t know. Maybe this isn’t such a good idea…”

He pursed his lips. “Alright then, let’s play a game instead.”

She closed her legs, eyeing him skeptically. “What kind of game?”

“I call it ‘Everything But’,” he said.

“What do you do?” The game sounded rather self-explanatory, but she was stalling for time.

“You get naked and we can do everything but have sex. No penetration. Just foolin’ around.”  He sat on the bed next to her and reached behind her to unfasten her bra. “No harm in that, is there?”
